90 NEW HOUSES IN WEST HANNEY ?
Further to our front page article in Hanney News, developers have ignored advice from the Vale Planning Team and have now submitted a formal application for permission to build up to 56 houses on land at Townsend, or as they incorrectly call it, Main Street, West Hanney.
A new application has also been submitted which increases the number of houses proposed on the School Road site from 15 to 35 with a second access from Winter Lane.
We invite all villagers to a special meeting to discuss these new plans to build a large number of houses in our small village with its limited infrastructure.
These new houses would be largely outside the village boundary, and one of the sites is on a flood plain, with an entry/exit onto a narrow road that is periodically closed by floods during periods of heavy rain.
Your personal comments to the Vale Planning Authority will be vital in supporting the parish council. Please come along to see these plans and discuss how we can act together in opposing the applications.
