Hanney Tennis Club

Hanney Tennis Club was founded almost 40 years ago to provide facilities for a friendly and vibrant village tennis club. The club’s two tennis courts were resurfaced in 2021 and LED floodlighting enables tennis to be played year-round until 10:00pm in a beautiful rural setting.
Activities include weekly club sessions on Tuesday evening (7:00pm-9:00pm), Friday morning (10:00am-12:00 noon) and Sunday morning (10:00am to 12:00 noon) throughout the year. All members are welcome (junior members by invitation). If you are thinking about joining the club, then just drop in for a few free taster sessions.

Excel Tennis Academy provide a full programme of coaching for adults and juniors. The club holds an annual summer tennis tournament and enters 2x men’s teams, a ladies’ team and a mixed team competing in the Oxfordshire LTA Leagues and a further men’s team competing in the midweek league. Team players can attend regular team practice sessions.

Members are eligible to enter the LTA ballot for Wimbledon tickets.
